Research Capabilities: Comprehensive Diagnostic and Analytical Services
Our laboratory offers a broad range of diagnostic tests and research services, including:
- Hematology: Complete blood count, crossmatching for transfusion, Coombs test, blood typing, erythrocyte sedimentation rate (ESR), reticulocyte count.
- Biochemistry: Glucose, urea, creatinine, uric acid, total cholesterol, triglycerides, HDL, total and direct bilirubin, transaminases, total proteins, albumin, amylase, alkaline phosphatase, LDH, calcium, sodium, potassium, chloride, and arterial blood gas analysis.
- Immunofluorescence: TSH, T3, T4, quantitative PSA, quantitative bHCG, D-dimer, troponin, and quantitative PCR.
- ELISA Tests: Chagas disease and SARS-CoV-2 IgG antibodies.
- Rapid Immunodiffusion Tests: 3rd and 4th generation HIV, VDRL, PSA, Chagas, Malaria, COVID-19 antibody and antigen, dengue, hepatitis B and C, rotavirus, Helicobacter pylori (in stool and blood).
- Urine Analysis: Biochemical analysis, sediment examination, 24-hour proteinuria, and creatinine clearance.
- Cerebrospinal Fluid Analysis: Cell count and protein determination.
- Microbiology and Parasitology: Sputum bacilloscopy with Ziehl-Nielsen staining, Leishmaniasis investigation, Gram staining, KOH examination for vaginal exudates, hair, nails, and skin samples.
- Coagulation Studies: TTP, TPA, INR, bleeding time using a coagulometer.
- Stool Analysis: Parasitological examination and thick blood smear for malaria diagnosis.
